Paper/Silver Recycling
Happy Faces Environmental, a division of HF Services, offers paper recycling services, which can operate in conjunction with our document destruction services. We provide an opportunity for our clients to have a paper recycling program for non-confidential items. Such a program will benefit not only the company but the whole community, as well, through the significant reduction in trash volumes that need to be either destroyed, burned or dumped into the community’s landfills.
We also offer a silver recovery program for the medical and printing industries. Our unique services include both lithographic and medical film recycling. We are able to, not only reclaim the silver content from the film, but also handle this process with no adverse effects to the environment. HF Environmental is among the very few companies worldwide that are able to proudly declare a truly environment friendly film recycling process. As we employ chemical processes, we are able to recycle both silver content and the polyester or plastic material. Also, clinics may be assured that we destroy the files and jackets for x-rays in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations. Clients’ and patients’ records are accorded the necessary security and discretion throughout the process.
Unlike our larger competitors, HF Environmental has a 100% recycling rate for films. As we are able to recycle everything rather than just the silver, we do not have the same operational expenses as most companies. Consequently, we can provide a MUCH greater revenue stream for the processing of these silver-bearing items. Moreover, items stored with us for archival are paid significantly higher as part of the comprehensive services that we offer. Clients who avail of the paper recycling program in conjunction with our document management and document destruction services benefit not only from an efficient and seamless document handling system but also from increased savings in over-all document management costs from the recycling revenues.
